Red Siege at Wild West Hackin’ Fest Deadwood 2026: What to Expect

By Red Siege | September 24, 2026

As proud sponsors of Wild West Hackin’ Fest, Red Siege is heading back to Deadwood! WWHF is always a big one for us, and this year we’re bringing training, talks, workshops, the Vishing CTF, plenty of swag, and a whole crew of Red Siegers along for the ride. Here’s where you can find us:

Start with Training:

Before the main conference kicks off, we’re getting things started with two pre-con trainings.

“Penetration Testing: Beyond the Basics” with CEO Tim Medin

Have you already taken Introduction to Pentesting with John Strand from Antispyhon? This course picks up where introductory training leaves off, digging deeper into what it takes to deliver a high-value penetration test. Students will work through host enumeration, initial access techniques, situational awareness, identifying additional targets, and practical lateral movement. (details)

“Offense for Defense” with Principal Security Consultant Mike Saunders and Senior Security Consultant Corey Overstreet

Built specifically for defenders, this two-day course puts you in the attacker’s shoes to better understand how attacks unfold and how that knowledge can be used to build stronger defenses. Learn offensive strategies directly from experienced pentesters and walk away with a better understanding of how attackers approach and move through an environment. (details)

Find us at the Red Siege Booth

Once the conference begins, the Red Siege booth will be buzzing with activity. Stop by to grab some of our signature swag—stickers, apparel, and exclusive items designed just for this event. You’ll have the chance to meet our team, including CEO Tim Medin and Project Manager Molly Murdoch. This is a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the process of working with Red Siege, from initial engagement to project completion, and how we help organizations strengthen their security posture. Whether you’re curious about our offensive security services or want to explore partnership opportunities, our team will be there to answer your questions and provide valuable insights into how we operate.

Don’t miss this chance to connect with us and discover all the ways Red Siege can support your security needs!

Vishing CTF: Telephone-Based Social Engineering Challenge

Think you’ve mastered social engineering? Test your skills in our telephone-based Vishing Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, created by Security Consultant Jason Downey. Participants will engage in realistic, high-stakes vishing scenarios. This unique event, blending telephony and AI, will challenge you to outsmart Dominion Industrial using nothing more than your voice and wits. If you’ve ever wondered how a simple phone call could lead to a data breach, now’s your chance to put that theory into practice in a safe, educational environment. Winners will earn an exclusive Red Siege Vishing CTF Challenge Coin!

Sponsor Stampede

Join us for the Sponsor Stampede at Downtown Deadwood! Swing by our stop to experience the excitement Red Siege brings and grab your stamp. This is one of the most high-energy highlights of the event, don’t miss out!

Red Siege Talks and Workshops

In addition to our hands-on activities and training sessions, members of our team will also deliver talks and workshops:

Thursday
  • 10:00am MT: CEO Tim Medin presents “A Dead Man Can Pass Your Security Training” (details)
  • 10:00am MT: Principal Security Consultant Mike Saunders and Senior Security Consultant Corey Overstreet workshop “I’m Still Here – Sneaky Persistence Methods” (details)
  • 3:15pm MT: CEO Tim Medin workshop “Hands On Kerberos”

See You in Deadwood

Training. Talks. Workshops. Vishing. Swag. And probably a little Deadwood chaos along the way.

Come find Red Siege at the booth, take a run at the Vishing CTF, catch one of our sessions, and say hi to the crew.

We’ll see you at Wild West Hackin’ Fest!
